Allergy Sonnet

A dreaded drip down my throat,

a sneeze caught in my nose.

It’s allergy season I should note

and I’ve been left exposed.

No medicine can save me,

when my eyes are always red.

I haven’t been smoking pot, you see

All this pollens just messing with my head.

Sinus headaches riddle my day,

I always wake with eyes glued shut.

I’m plagued with this in both October and May

Destine to suffer hay fever, but

Solace come with winter cold,

Unless, of course, my house has mold.
